It would seem that misogyny is alive and well in the advertising industry:
Getting a fat girl to say “I may not be the prettiest” or “I may not be the daintiest”, or a blond girl to say “I may not be the smartest” is nothing short of down-right offensive. They may as well have got a Page 3 girl with her tits covered in milk and plastered “she can’t spell and makes Jordan look like the architect of the fucking Large Hadron Collider, but she’s fit!” all over the screen. “But I love me”. I love you too love, especially when you do that hair twirling thing, makes me want to bounce you off the fucking walls love. See? This advert has the opposite effect!!
“Created for women like me!” (fat girl? check) “And me” (black girl? check) “And me” (old wench? check). “PgHand Meeeh” (spastic girl? no sorry, we don’t cover them). And then there’s that line “If women’s cancer effects me in the future…”. Now, I know this will shock you but I’m no doctor, in fact, I once tried to fix a broken arm with a stapler, but even I know that ‘women’s’ cancer is not a real kind of cancer. Cervical? Ovarian? But women’s? I think that’s being a little vague isn’t it? Bordering on retarded. And what the fuck are you laughing at blondy? Cancer is no sodding laughing matter!! Go and get your tonsils tickled by a 14 inch wand like you normally do on a Saturday night you tramp. See!?? This advert has the opposite effect!!
